We have gotten to that age when your friends start fleeing the city in search of more room for their little additions. Then they try to recruit you heavily to follow them with temptations like better weather, parking spots, washer / dryers, and BBQs.
Trust me we have pondered a move to the burbs more than once and for all of the above reasons. What I wouldn’t give to not have to deal with the SF fog in the summer or fight for a washer / dryer on the weekend. But there is just something about being able to walk to pick up your dry cleaning, grab a morning cup of coffee, or eat dinner that make me so happy.
So city living it is . . . at least for a little while longer. Which means that rather than having a nice grill in our backyard we have a little George Forman on our counter. Hey whatever works right?
I can’t take credit for those good looking french fries or turkey burgers . . . thank you Alexa frozen sweet potato french fries and tonight’s chef, Josh. I have taken over most responsibilities in our kitchen but Josh still rocks at cooking meat. So he was all over these burgers mixing the ground turkey with with mustard, bread crumbs, and egg. Then onto the George Forman they went.
For the corn, I just shucked and cooked it in salted boiling water for 8 minutes. It was perfectly cooked and summer deliciousness.
Pretty good looking dinner for an indoor BBQ – huh? We thought so too. The burbs have nothing on us.
